An Impossible Love - Poem by R K Summers

Her world is shaped by nameless things
Hear the wordless song she sings
It whispers in the darkened halls
It lives, it deepens, and it calls.

A fanfare of echoes heralds his name
Preceded by snowstorms and followed by flame
He offers his hand to repair her heart
He lays down a promise ne’er to depart.

She’s bound by ribbons and flowers of white
But her starlit stranger strides through the night
He heard her song echo across impossible skies
And made it his duty to see her soul rise.
