A Lonely Armadillo - Poem by Robert Murray Smith

I wandered lonely as an armadillo

Through lonely plains and dunes

Until I spied a lonely hippo on a pillow

Who was not only lonely, but lost.

We joined ranks and then ran into

A lonely soul, a pussy cat, called Wingto

He was very hungry so he was offered some grubs

And some grass, 'No thank you' so he headed for a zoo

So, sadly, we continued wandering over plains and dunes.
