A Pristine Shore - Poem by Robert Murray Smith

Light aqua blue water, lapped noisely

Unseen, it flowed in and out, rhythmically

The sandy beach rested broken shells

To meet their end as sand, in sands.

Time passes time, in time, flotsam, and jetsam

Pile on pile, on once a pristine shore, unwelcome

Unseen by all those who waste through waste

On a distant once pristine shore.
