Restful - Poem by Robert R. Railey

Restful

As a boy, I would oft-times walk
Down a rugged dirt path
That led to a red-clay ledge from
Whence I could dangle my legs and dream
Of all the glorious places I had visited
But only in the books I had read
And so nowadays, when I'm stressed
Over worldly matters, or less, it's always
Satisfying to know that my mind is not
Bound by human restraints for I can always
Return to where I first found peace
