A Fish In The Sea - Poem by Robert Murray Smith

A fish in the sea doesn't
know its fate.

But are we onshore certain
that we know?

A fish in the sea is the same
as you and me.

We all swim in uncharted waters
as our final destiny comes.

A fish in the sea will never be
sure what's around.

As we travel through life a
trapdoor will open taking
us unaware.

A fish in the sea swims through
storms that create turbulence.

In life we too will thrash about
not knowing what to do.

A fish in the sea just like you
and me will succumb to it final blow.

There is always another fish in the
sea, but never another you or me.
