Fine Feathered Friend - Poem by Sister Frances

How does one write an ode to a bird
That appears in most things we have
already heard...

In poems and old fables in movies that play
The trickster, clever villain, smart mouthed
by day...

They say he can't help but take pretty things
Shiny mementos like cool wedding rings
It's untrue...

The myths and what most just don't know
Is he's building a love nest to keep
Mrs Crow.
