A Mind Within A Mind - Poem by Robert Murray Smith

the mind mysterious, is hidden
from all

but not from itself it is firmly
in control

even in disturbed minds, or out
of control minds

think about that...

the controller, or conductor of
the electric cauldron

is the glia who assist the neurons
in a chemical electro environment
(this is what neuroscientists believe)

to fire in milliseconds bringing
the mind into a functioning unit

a question that is raised in my
mind:

Is whether there is a mind
within the mind?

a parallel universe of cells that
may be supervising the conductor

this mind may be the memory that
substantiates all actions of the
mind it oversees
