A Little Sip Of Reality - Poem by Robert Murray Smith

a hallucinatory image came
out of a little white tablet

a purple haze, rainbow skys
birds joined to aeroplanes

neurons misfiring it was
fun, they say

screaming in tunnels with
tunnel vision

emitting sounds that surround
a fun filled day

at night some coke, dance the
night away, what an escapade

in the morning sipping on

neurons momentarily aligned
no thank you

another little pill another

to play life away, to escape
reality forever

by a stroke of luck a seizure
to carry off

the life that could not face
another day
