Fly - Poem by Judith Blatherwick

If I could catch a shooting star
And hold on very tight
I'd fly across the moonlit sky
To be with you tonight.

Or maybe find a broomstick.
I could cast a magic spell,
And climb on board and fly to you.
Yes, that would work as well.

If I could grow some angel's wings
I'd fly myself, that's true.
But I'd be very tired
When at last I got to you.

Something a bit less fanciful,
I'll go online and buy
A ticket for an aeroplane,
Then climb on board and fly.
