Survivor's Guilt - Poem by Elena Blackwood

Every Night, When I close my eyes,
I feel fright, imagining the cries.
The cries of my loved, lost beloveds,
loyal to the end, when they lost their lives.

They died for me, so I could live,
yet now that they are gone, how can I live?
All I wish is that I remembered to cherish them.
Instead, I was selfish, and all I can do is relive.
