Empty Passion - Poem by J.. Janani

I have told our son
He may not come
For you do not wish it so

We journeyed together
You omitted to mention
Our road would be barren

Days of sun-showered bliss
Retreat into memories
of your fruitless kiss

The soul, who waits to be,
in this world, may yet live
But not through you and I
