Then & Now - Poem by E.Marie AldrichCreasy

Then & Now

Myspace is two feet around me
My Facebook has Polaroid
And when I’m on-line
It’s with my fishing pole
That I bought years ago at
Aunt Annie’s General Store
It was the Wal-Mart
Of the 50’S and 60’s
Anything you needed you could buy it there
From ribbons for her hair
To boots
Shoes, lassoes
And bridles
Aunt Annie sold strings for my guitar
She never drove a car
She simply enjoyed her space
Just like now
That was then
Two feet around
Even down town
