Scarlet - Poem by L'Angley S Delmonte

Blue skies and train wrecks.
The secretary stirs, someone finally called.
Instant reflex.
Hopelessly grasps the wall.
Why would she intentionally fall?

Why did he leave her?
She puts her head on the desk and falls asleep.
There isn't a cure for every disease.
She isn't asleep.

Sirens blaring.
Fading into the cool night air.
He finds her.
And there's scarlet everywhere.
And no one cares.
