Food Of Love, A Sonnet - Poem by Eli MorenoDrew

I wish that I could pick up a guitar
And play a song for you that's beautiful.
Each chord would melt you 'til your eyes were pools
And you would glow as if you were a star!
Or how 'bout a piano? Near or far?
I'll serenade you, you sit on the stool
Yes, all of this to show I am a fool
for you! And this is this is true near or far.
'If music be the food of Love, play on! '
Is what good Shakespeare said to all mankind
Among a plethora of other quotes.
So I will try my best to write a song
And wondering, that in your heart you'll find
That with each chord our hearts will strike a note!
