When cold February snow did thaw
I left a snowdropp by your door
And late in March when sky was blue
A bought a daffodil to you
As April shower’s refreshed the land
I put a cowslip in your hand
And at the Maypole in sweet May
A daisy chain did slip your way

In the beginning she heard his voice melodious
And following that dreamy sound came suddenly upon him
Richly garbed down by the hawthorn hedge
How handsome and proud against that newly emerging emerald green backdropp he was
So full of the joys of Spring amidst the half uncurled buds
