Best Poem of L.E. Arndt

I Had Me Once A Good Woman
I had me once a good woman;
A fairy without flight.
Her eyes could break the sun
and her hair could hold the light.
Every step was as dancing;
Every frown was a fight.

Her hands were ever steady.
She didn't believe in shaking.
She almost stole my heart,
But it was hers for the taking.

This Is Something I Would Never Give
Run your hands up my leg
Ignore my frantic “no”.
Don’t listen to me sobbing.
Just feel the heavy throbbing
And feel me breaking as I beg.

Wrap yourself around me.
This is something I would never give.
Feel the guilt quench my skin.
Hear me scream out my sin.
Let the breakdown surround me.
