A Childhood Memory

I was walking outside our house,
Beside a large pile of old lumber,
When I spied a large Tarantula- -
This was no time to lie down and slumber

But it was a lot more scared of me
Than I guess I was of it
So it hid inside the pile of lumber
And that calmed me a little . . .
