Best Poem of M.K. Townsend

End Of Autumn
thin, parched air
a nosebleed waiting to happen
burning groves and frozen faucets
waxy skin and periwinkle nail beds
goosebumps; naked trees
shuddering in the bitter wind
clothes shed; rotting in the frosted topsoil
the idea of snow
so foreign and opposing
taking life before it’s conceived
