Poems about summer - An Indian Summer

An Indian Summer - Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

alas sweet summer love
was but for a single season
an Indian Summer still can
be enjoyed without reason

some birds migrate in call autumn
to distant far foreign shores
some leaves fall in rainbow autumn
shedding to nature’s firm laws

the treachery of heart kingdoms
flays us with cages of feelings
a heart seeking far freedoms
is not ours for sweet stealings
