Poems about food - .5. Cat Food

.5. Cat Food - Poem by David Threadgold

Chill the white wine
Turn down the light
Soften the music
Let’s stay home tonight

Switch off the cooker
The meal is prepared
Fill two large glasses
A whole bottle shared

Gold trimmed white plates
Fine cutlery kings
Serviettes rolled up
In bright silver rings

Drawing the curtains
The candles are lit
Log effect fire
Gets turned up a bit

Salmon from oven
Trip over the mat
And a candle lit supper
Was enjoyed by the cat
