Poems about food - Demons Food

Demons Food - Poem by Cody Moore

I can feel the demons at my side
Unseen but not unfelt, they tear at me
As dogs tear at raw meat so is my soul
Pain ravishes my body
Acid runs cold through my veins
Darkness has closed in on me
In my darkness now I can see
All the wrongs in my life I’ve done
And all the things that could set me free
I scream from pain but no one hears
Alone in my darkness fallen away
Fallen deep into the darkness
Not alone not really
I can see the hungry eyes
Eyes of the demons come to finish
I do not fear as they grow closer
I see the face of my demons
And all I see is me
The demons devour the last of me
And my soul is ripped from my body
