Poems about girl - A Chatham Girl

A Chatham Girl - Poem by John A. Hancock

Her hair soft as feather down
And the eyes are liquid pools on which to dream
Her lips so sensual as a blooming rose
With delicate skin smooth like velvet cream

London is favored by her presence
As I with her sitting by my side
Like a single daisy in a coloured meadow
True beauty tis not an easy thing to hide
