Poems about beauty - 042710a Hidden Beauty

042710a Hidden Beauty - Poem by Manonton Dalan

why i didn't noticed
the bridge across
twenty foot channel
going to two acre lake
surrounded by tall grass,
flowers and parking lots

could it be i'm so focus
on going home everyday
or maybe lake has taken
my whole attention, when
fishermen drops by to
scoop some fingerling
as their baits; not today

i was tracing rocks neatly
laid out along the sea
colorful rocks; brown, black,
red, gray even multicolor
when i came upon this bridge
it looks like a green necklace
